Poetry is the simplest and easiest art form that comes to me. While I started writing (somewhat seriously) in high school, my writing now follows more structure - ie. rhyme scheme and meter - and comes from more personal experience. I find inspiration at every corner - from song lyrics to news.
All my digital artworks start of as a photograph in my iPhone. Whether it’s the birds’ silhouette, skyline or clouds. There is always a component in my artwork that I photographed with my iPhone. From there, the photograph gets composited - with other pictures - on my iPhone or iPad using various apps to become the final artwork.
I started using the iPhone for photography because I did not have money to buy an expensive camera. I started to create digital artwork on my iPhone during the pandemic, as I could not be out and about during COVID and needed a creative outlet. Creating digital artwork on the iPhone/iPad is a great medium for me (instead of a brush or pen or computer) because of my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
All of my generative artworks are coded using the JavaScript library, p5.js
You can find my github account at github[dot]com[slash]arcturusInk, where a lot of my coding projects live.
