Surreal Clouds
Surreal Clouds is a collection of five artworks. These artworks all have distinctive circular, majestic and volatile clouds. A theme that connects this collection together. Hence the name of the collection.
The collection was created in iPhone. Sometimes, using a photo taken by the phone's camera as the starting base. Other times, finding inspiration from open sourced free images. Then using various iPhone apps to compose and create the artwork.

I had been looking through unsplash for inspiration and pictures of these mountainscape caught my eye. I thought these mountains and the color of water were similar.
So it should come as no surprise that the halo was originally a picture of waves. I digitally altered the picture using apps on iPhone so it resembles the halo of the moon.
Towering Heights

The tower is a photo I took on iPhone in 2017 at Hartford, CT. I wanted to use it in one of my artworks. I thought the circular clouds' center would be the perfect epicenter to place it's point in. The birds circling the tower were an extra touch.
Civilization Celebration

The shadow of NYC's skyline is actually a photograph I took in my iPhone in 2018 from atop the 270 Park Avenue skyscraper. You can see the silhouette of the Chrysler building and Empire State building.
I made this artwork around December 2021 to celebrate the coming new year in NYC. What better place to place NYC, then in the epicenter? After all, it is the center of many things.

The skyline silhouette is of skyscrapers viewed from downtown Manhattan. I remember how turbulent the water was when I took the photo - again in iPhone - and how it mirrored my own feelings at the time. So when I thought of using the photograph to make art, I knew I wanted to create something that reflected that feeling of mine.
So I digitally created the most red, 'end-of-the-world' clouds I could. Made sure the dark waters reflected those colors, as the waters that day reflected my mood.

I was searching unsplash for inspiration when I came upon this mountain. I liked the color palette and wanted to work with it. So I added clouds to the foreground and 'Surreal Clouds' to the background. The thunder strike and birds were a final touch.
